ABC Founder Asha Bagshaw

I am a fully qualified psychotherapist/counsellor working in private practice in the Leek and Uttoxeter area. I work using a psychodynamic approach to meet the client’s individual needs. I provide a safe space for individuals to learn more about themselves and explore different ways of being, enabling a more positive outlook on their lives. I am interested on the focus of unresolved past experience that can impact our lives today.

The essence of my work is to promote self growth by helping to identify challenges that you feel are preventing you from living your life to its full potential. I work on a long and short term basis with individuals, looking at issues such as stress, anxiety, coping skills, grief, bereavement, self harm, depression and problems that may be causing unhealthy emotions in your life.

I am a registered member with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, which means that I follow the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and I am fully insured and DBS checked.

I work with compassion, genuineness and have a real passion for the effectiveness of the counselling process.

I work in a non judgmental way and I value indifference.

I have experience with helping people from pre-teens to adults with various issues.
